Who this notice is from

Bots & Pieces is the trading name of Tom [SURNAME], a sole trader based in Besthorpe, near Attleborough, Norfolk. Tom is responsible for your information (the "data controller"). For any question about your information, email hello@botsandpieces.co.uk.

What information is collected

When you send an enquiry through the form, by WhatsApp or by email, the details you give are kept. That's usually:

If you become a customer, records of the work, quotes and invoices are also kept.

Why it's used, and the legal basis

You won't be added to a mailing list or sent marketing, and your details are never sold.

Cookies

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking. The fonts are stored on this website, so nothing loads from Google or other third parties when you visit.

Who else handles it

A few services are used to run the website and handle messages. They only process your information to provide their service:

Some of these companies are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where that happens, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long it's kept

If no work goes ahead, enquiries are deleted after 12 months. If you become a customer, records are kept for as long as needed for the work, and business and tax records are kept for at least 5 years after the 31 January tax return deadline for the year they relate to, as HMRC requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information held about you, or ask for it to be corrected or deleted. You can also object to it being used, or ask for its use to be restricted. Email hello@botsandpieces.co.uk and you'll get a reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how your information has been handled, please get in touch first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
